After an awesome night sleep in the tent we woke up to a cloudy, cool day...perfect for a hike. We walked to the shuttle stop and took the shuttle up Going-to-the-Sun Road and got off at Logan Pass. Logan Pass is the start of an epic National Park hike called Highline Trail, a 12 mile hike that takes us above the road for beautiful views. The good part is that since there is a shuttle, we only have to go 1-way and then we take the shuttle back to our campsite. As you can see from the picture below...it was quite windy...oh, and cold.
Here is a gallery of pictures from the Highline Trail hike:
Oh...guess who we saw at the shuttle stop...those two sister we met at Quarry Brewery the day before. They did the same hike, but went the opposite direction. They must have passed us when we went inside the chalet to eat lunch and warm up. And, by the way, they stayed in the same campground we did although they were in a different loop. They were headed to a different campground for the second night, so we said our good-bys and went on our way back to our tent sight and a great night sleep after a 12 mile hike.
