Eastern Europe 2022 Home
When we travel, we have learned that packing light is the key to happiness.  All of our stuff will fit into backpacks and be under 20 pounds each.  There are many advantages to having one bag each that is easy to carry including:
  • Can be hand-carried on most airlines
  • Easy to keep track of everything when it is all in one bag
  • Ease of walking around airports
  • Ease of taking public transportation (taxis, trains, buses, ferries)
  • Ease of walking around town
The bags we use are the Men's Kelty Redwing 44 Liter and the Women's Kelty Redwing 40 Liter:

What's in the bag?

This is all the non-clothes items I am taking for four months to Eastern Europe.

Here is a look at all the clothes I am bringing.  Some people will think I am crazy for only taking the few clothes that I am, but we will make sure to stay in AirBnB's with washing machines at least every 5 days. We also make sure that our clothes are all quick drying.  With the high cost of electricity overseas, they tend to not have dryers, so all the clothes have to air dry.  All the clothes (except for outerwear) will fit into the two packing cubes on the rights side of photo.

As for Tim's bag...he has packed very similar to me.
