I woke up with a bit of congestion and a little stomach ache, so I went back to sleep. What time is it now? 10 AM?!? I am thinking this is going to be a day of sitting around watching YouTube and finishing planning the Bali portion of the trip.
Usually we take it day to day, but we only have 10 days in Bali and I want to make sure we make the most of it, so I spent way too much time picking a hotel to stay in and then the planned activities of the day, transportation between the hotels, and transportation back to the airport.
Now that all of that is done, I can relax and watch some YouTube although I should be blogging, but I just want off of the computer after hours of Bali stuff.
Tonight is our last night in Kuala Lumpur and we haven't had Tuak yet. I found a bar that serves it, so we showered, got dressed, and headed out. I am still looking for the Japan travel guide, so we stopped at a bookstore on the way. Check this out. This bookstore occupies the top floors of a an old repurposed theater.

It was a cool bookstore, but no luck finding a Japan travel guide.
Back outside we continued our walk to The Attic. On the way we saw...of course...Merdeka 118 keeping the pointy side up.

We finally arrived at The Attic. It is hard to find, but I actually watched a YouTube video to explain how to find it. You need to enter the building through a small door. Go up the stairs to the lobby of a hostel then turn right. Go up a flight of stairs and then go up a spiral staircase to the roof. There is a door up there that leads to "The Attic."
They had Tuak (rice wine), so we ordered a bottle. It was really good and very easy to drink. It was pricy at $30 USD, so we enjoyed and savored it.

I went outside on the patio to check out the view and looked down. There is that goldsmith mural that was mentioned in the self-guided walking tour we took on day 1, but couldn't find.
We were starving when we got there since we didn't leave the apartment until after 5 PM. When we got there the cook wasn't in yet, so we had to wait. Finally...he arrived and is ready to cook. I ordered the Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Shrimp and Tim ordered the Chicken Chop.
After dinner we were done with the Tuak and ready to go. Oh...here is that spiral staircase I told you about earlier.
We walked the 20 minutes back to the apartment. It drizzled some, so it was finally a bit cooler which made for a nice walk home. Here is a photo of the apartment building we stayed in. It is actually a pair of buildings called The Robertson.
This is our last night in this really nice apartment with a view. Here are a few farewell photos of the night skyline of Kuala Lumpur. That space needle looking building (Kuala Lumpur Tower) has a light show a couple of times a night that we had a front row seat for.
This officially ends our stay in Kuala Lumpur. Tomorrow we catch a 9:30 AM bus to Melaka, Malaysia. Until then...
