After about 36 days in Malaysia it is time to move on. Today we take a bus from Malacca to Singapore, but the bus is not until 3:30 PM, so we have a few more hours here. We decided to go back to the same place for breakfast as we went yesterday. Tim however ordered the smaller English breakfast this time, and I ordered avocado toast for a smaller, less filling breakfast than yesterday.
After breakfast we came upon this guy hanging out on an overhang over the river. Maybe he's the child of the larger monitor lizard we saw yesterday at breakfast?

Our plan was to visit a museum after breakfast, but they only take cash and I made sure to spend all our cash before leaving country, so we just walked around. We found an air-conditioned mall and hung out there wasting some time and then walked back to the hotel to retrieve our bags and call a Grab (Uber).
The bus arrived and departed right on schedule, so we sat back to enjoy the 3 or so hour drive south to Singapore.

The bus stopped at the boarder of Malaysia and we all got out to go through immigration and customs...no problem. Next came the Singapore boarder...not as smooth.
On the ten minutes between boarders, I realized I was supposed to pre-register for a visa online. I got about half-way though on the bus, but didn't finish the application. When we tried to scan our passports in the automated system it rejected us and we had to go to the lines with people. While on the line I was able to finish the application, but we weren't willing to get off the line and try it, so we waited. This line did not move very fast so there was a threat that the bus would leave us behind. They say that they will wait up to 30 minutes for passengers going through immigration, and it was getting close to that. We finally got to the front of the line and sailed through with no problems, and the bus was still there, so good deal.
About 45 minutes later we were let off our station that was still a 20 minute Grab ride from our AirBnB. It was now about 7:30 PM and we were tired, but hungry so we decided to find a place here to eat before headed to our AirBnB. I found a pizza place on Google Maps, but it wasn't easy to find. I think it took us 30 minutes of walking around until we finally found it. I glanced at the menu, pointed at a picture on it, and was charged $45 Singapore Dollars...wait..what? The current exchange rate is about $0.75 USD to $1 Singapore Dollar, so the pizza cost us $34 USD. We are not in Malaysia anymore.

I do have to say that the pizza was delicious. I opted for the Detroit-style pizza. The sauce was super good and the burned cheese along the crust was quite yummy. OK...it was expensive, but so good.
After dinner we took a Grab to the AirBnB and settled in for the night. We only have 3 full days here in Singapore, so tomorrow we want to get a pretty early start and explore as much of this country as we can. Until then...
