It's 4 1/2 hours from Cyprus to Helsinki - a non-stop on Norwegian - the front 1/4 of the airplane is nearly empty, so we move forward to find much calmness, while the kiddies and engines on the wing carry on in the back.
Almost before we know it, there's Helsinki Int'l Airport with nice cool dry weather.
We have to burn a bit of time, 3-4 hours, not counting the train to Helsinki Harbor, so of course it's pizza time! They call it Napoli style, it was a fair substitute for Napoli, pretty good.
We're now in the ferry terminal waiting room for our "Viking" cruise - yeah, it's not that Viking, but we're looking forward to getting on a ferry that goes from Helsinki south to Tallinn (Estonia) between 9pm and midnight. Then we'll stay aboard to 6 a.m. in a small stateroom waiting for sunrise.
The room was comfortable, it even had a private bathroom/shower, but the experience was not as good as it could have been. It's Friday night, and the 16-24 year olds are massed aboard for a long night of partying - oy!
We left Cyprus at 1110am this morning and arrived in Estonia just before midnight, the same day, after planes, trains, and a "Viking Cruise".
