Heading today to Furoy Fishing Camp lodging with a hike at Brensholmvegen part way. We could have taken a more direct route after hiking, but the line for the ferry was humungus. Our route was about 135 miles. After passing Hella (above the white blocked numbers), Tromsø came back into view, and we thought, whoa, did we go the right way!
Ahhhhhhhhh -- a reindeer over there -- the coats are looking better with the Winter hair now fallen away.
Now for the hike...
Now on the way to the Fishing Camp - we come upon ancient petroglyphs along the road near Hella. The posted information was all in hard-to-translate Norwegian script so we can't tell you the how and why. Other similar ones in Norway are dated to 4600-2600 B.C.
Now at our lodging - the tall one one to the left right above the lower one with the black tile roof. It was quite rustic and nice, quaint and "oldish".
